Cigarettes and Sports see referencing with the Tri-Smoke graphic putting a spin on the infamous triangle that has been synonymous with Palace from the outset, whilst the Roadrunner graphic features a playful take on vintage american sportswear logo's.

  • Nike Air Max BW Premium 'Persian Violet'

The Nike Air Max BW saw huge success upon its inception and the synonymous OG colourway has adonred many other silhouettes since in various forms, however we are extremely pleased to see Nike bring back the Air Max BW in its former glory this year and tomorrow we get a premium update on the icnoic shoe 25 years after its initial release.

Originally released in 1991 as part of the 'International Series' which makes an appearance in the form of a printed insole graphic, the Nike Air Max BW became a huge success even rivalling the ever popular Air Max 90 silhouette and sported the name sake 'BW' or 'Big Window' referring to the large bubble in the heel.

The Premium Nike touch is well considered by staying true to the original colour-scheme of a black upper with violet details and a contrast white stripe running across the entire circumference of the shoe.

The upper now sees a premium textured synthetic snake skin that almost glistens in the right lighting, and of course the updates don't stop there with premium violet suede covering the heel and tongue.

Another nod to the tube system is seen in a metallic top eyelet to represent the tracks the trains run upon.

  • Nike Mayfly

The Nike Mayfly makes a welcome return today after initially being released in 2003.

Although the ultra-light silhouette may seem fairly simple on first glance, the Mayfly is one of Nike's most well considered conceptual running shoes to date.

The most obvious nod to its name-sake insect comes with the detailed print upper that resembles the wings of a Mayfly, however the really impressive details lie in the Tyvek ripstop that the pattern lies upon.

Building upon the life cycle of the Mayfly which lives, breeds and dies all in one day, the shoe was engineered to last for 100KM of running before it would start to fall apart.

Nike's innovative approach to design saw the Tyvek Ripstop material adorn the upper which is hard wearing yet paper thin allowing the shoe to deliver high performance up-to the 100km distance they were designed for, to quote Nike the Mayfly is "the ultimate lightweight racing shoe that will cushion you and support you 1 meter past the finish line"

The re-issue comes in a much more durable upper this time round but keeps the little details that really cover every base for a comfy summertime shoe, the one-piece phylon outsole features 11 cut outs which correspond with ventilation holes aligned in the insole for exceptional ventilation on those hot days.

A layer of tyvek is strategically placed above the outsole cut-outs to prevent any liquid from entering the shoe and due to the nature of the fabric any water vapour inside the shoe can escape, another genius touch that honours Bill Bowerman's performance orientated ethos he maintained from the early Nike days.

The silhouette is nicely finished off with a strip of nubuck covering the well-ventilated tongue and re-inforced toe box.

The Nike Mayfly is available in University Red/White and Racer Blue/White in-store and online now.

  • Nike SB Dunk High Premium 'Gasparilla' QS

Skateboarding mainstays Nike SB have teamed up with the legendary Skate Park of Tampa to bring you the 'Gasparilla' Dunk High Premium- consisting of the classic Nike silhouette adorned in a whole host of Pirate honouring details.

This well considered collaboration see's homages to the annual Tampa Gasparilla Pirate Festival, an event that celebrates infamous Spanish pirate José Gaspar who was based there in the early 1900's.

The 'Gasparilla' Dunk High Premium features more obvious pirate-esque details such a tonally embroidered cross-swords on the toe box and the legendary skull and cross bones emblem woven onto the tongue label.

The real stand-out feature however lies in the collar of the shoe on which an array of multi-coloured threads are layered in a playful tribute to the classic companion of any famous pirate- the parrot. The threads are designed to fray with wear eventually resulting in a completely unique shoe that will be like no other.

The interior is where ye hidden treasure lies with a Nike SB branded loot print covering the insole and a luxurious velour-esque material covering the inside of the shoe- reminiscent of the lining on treasure chests that you might remember from any classic pirate movie.

Aside from the Pirate themed details the rest of the shoe sees a more muted colour palette with a black nubuck leather upper, black midsole with tonal stitching and a 3M reflective swoosh that appears mid-grey in regular light.

The only other blast of colour comes from the 'Chilling Red' oustole which sits nicely against the multi coloured "parrot" collar.

Nike SB Dunk High Premium 'Gasparilla' QS is available online and in our Bournemouth store now.
