Veja was founded by two French friends who shared a common thought - change through action. In a world that is finally coming to terms with the devastation of decades of un-sustainable manufacturing we see Véja at the forefront, making change by actually doing things, creating sneakers made from wild rubber from the Amazonian Rainforest, the only place on earth where rubber trees grow in the wild. Vegetable-tanned leather is a chrome-free leather utilised by Véja alongside a co-operative of organic cotton farmers from which Veja buy organic cotton at around twice the market price.
