Red Wing Shoes

In 1905 Charles Beckman a Minnesota shoe merchant, realised the need for strong and reliable work boots and shoes. A boot was needed was strong enough to be practical for the job and comfortable enough to be worn for long lengths of time in challenging environments, Red Wing Shoes was born. Red Wing is situated in Southwest Minnesota, the name was taken from a tribal chief who ruled the local region and the iconic ‘Red Feather’ logo introduced in 1928 refers back to the tribal chief. The Brand still produce their heritage line in the original factory and even on some of the original machines used in the early 1900’s. To Red Wing, quality is paramount, and in their own words ‘Since we began, we have never comprised our quality and this will never change. That's a promise.
