BORNN

Founded in 2015 by sister duo, Basak Onay & Oyku Thurston, the Turkish BORNN brand took inspiration from the different cultures of LA, Tokyo, and Barcelona. Fascinated by the craftsmanship of their local heritage of Istanbul, the two combined their knowledge from around the world and combined it with the history of enamelware by using traditional manufacturing techniques to produce modern, unique, and handcrafted pieces to help keep these skills alive. Creating their signature enamelware is done by a time-consuming process made by fusing glass onto heavy-gauge steel in a traditional kiln that gives each design a unique beauty that BORNN is known for.
