  • Nike Air Max 97 SK

The Nike Air Max 97 SK launches with us September 2nd...

As Skepta has travelled from London to the world through his music he has become closely affiliated with the destinations along the way with each of these places offering him something unique. The Air Max 97 Sk explores the clash of Skepta’s home town of London with his spiritual home of Marrakech.

Skepta found many similarities between these two cities: the hustle of youth, kids wearing tracksuits and Air Max, skylines populated with satellite dishes and bustling markets. For the Air Max 97 Sk he pays homage to London by bringing the same iridescent upper material from Skepta’s first ever Air Max – the Air Tuned Max ’99, and marries it with Moroccan-inspired woven detailing… All siting atop the iconic 97 Air unit.

  • Dime MTL Autumn 17 Collection

The Dime MTL Autumn 17 collection launches with us online tonight at midnight.

Montreals finest skate gang return with another killer drop for the coming season, what started off as pure 'un-serious' entertainment has evolved into a worldwide affinity for the fledging young brand. Surpassing the 'T-shirt brand' label that most skate crew turned companies fall into we see some progressive cut-and-sew goodness making the Dime MTL Autumn 17 Collection one of our favourites yet.

    Dime MTL Autumn 17

As we've come to expect from the Canadian powerhouse we get a handful of the best graphic T-shirts ever with our personal favourite being the "Skating is my escape from reality" graphic alongside the 'restoration' tee which was previously a Dime store exclusive. Just to top this off as our favourite delivery in a while we see Dime's classic love for all things old-skateboarding with 3 colourways in the 'Sk8' belt - just remember to have it hanging down really long down the front of your 40" waist Blind jeans.

    Dime MTL Autumn 17

Alongside their slew on tounge-in-cheek graphic tees we see a more than welcome collaboration with New York's most important skate-media-outlet Quartersnacks. The large-scale media corporation reigns supreme by offering a slightly biased but definitely inclusive presentation of skateboarding today, many hours have been spent reading the site for us which offers a perfect balance of relate-ability, cynicism and all out funniness. The colab makes perfect sense and round of the Dime MTL Autumn 17 Collection perfectly.

  • Nike SB Zoom Blazer Mid Lance Mountain QS

The Nike SB Zoom Blazer Mid Lance Mountain QS launches with us tomorrow at 8am.

Lance Mountain has headed up some of the most desirable Nike SB creations among skaters and sneaker heads alike, and this is most definitely one of his best to date. The vibrant Swoosh draws cues from vintage rock posters that traditionally feature 3-colour split fountain fades, an obscure but wonderfully referenced piece of cult design also utilised by Lance for his board graphics. The design is quintessentially 'Lance' and provides a concise overview of some of the things he values and has been inspired by throughout his vast career.

The counterparts of the shoe are executed in a seemingly simple black and white, however upon closer look we see the pool skating culture that has been such a huge part of Lance's clife referenced with an embossed heel panel that pulls cues from the classic tiling found on backyard pools. This is paired with some contrast embroidery, with the 78 representing the year that Lance’s early influences made him want to skate in the Blazer, and the 17 representing his ongoing love of it all, present day.

  • adidas NMD Sashiko Pack - A Closer Look

The adidas NMD Sashiko Pack launches with us tonight at midnight.

The brand with the three stripes are no strangers to pattern knit uppers with various famed patterns being utilised for the NMD line, however we see one of our favourite renditions launch tonight at midnight - the adidas NMD Sashiko Pack.

The adidas NMD Sashiko Pack consists of two colour ways in everybody's favourite NMD_R1 PK silhouette alongside a single colour option in the cult favourite NMD_CS2. A monochrome colour palette dominates the pack with an undeniably slick black and white pattern knit offering something a little different than the frequented camo options offered previously.

    adidas NMD Sashiko Pack

adidas have always been ahead of the game conceptually and the adidas NMD Sashiko Pack is a true testament to this, delving deep into the history books and pulling reference from the Sashiko stitch utilised throughout the traditional Japanese textile culture and taking it to new levels. Drawing inspiration from the past and applying a contemporary twist, undoubtedly what adidas do best. Whilst taking from the past is nothing new in terms of concept it is rare that a brand can continually produce such a considered and well executed piece time and time again without becoming stagnant, and these three new offerings are most definitely not that.

  • Tres Bien x Polar Skate Co Collaboration Collection.

The Tres Bien x Polar Skate Co collaboration collection is available now.

Rumour has it that this dreamy collab was first conjured up in a boozy pub chat between Polar Skate Co overlord Pontus Alv and the boys behind premium retail space Très Bien. With both camps hailing from Sweden the Tres Bien x Polar Skate Co collaboration makes perfect sense, and more importantly it has a very important ethos behind it.

The Tres Bien x Polar Skate Co collaboration collection is about good clothes, and being inclusive of people who appreciate that. The collection boasts sensibilities from both camps but distances itself from being labelled as 'only for skaters' or 'premium fashion'. No matter what background you're from this collab merges the borders from what has gone before and opens itself up to anyone who engages with things that simply look and function extremely well.

    Folk Clothing

To accompany the Folk Clothing Autumn Winter '17 collection the fledging brand has conjured up a beautifully fuzzy campaign video shot in our favourite lo-fi VHS format. Some perfectly executed green screen tom foolery is utilised in true Folk fashion with the video looking as premium as the garments themselves. It's been a while since we've seen a brand use green-screen effects in a non-cheesy way - and let's be honest if anyone was going to pull it off it was going to be Folk...

  • adidas Originals NMD R1 PK Japan Pack

The adidas Originals NMD R1 PK Japan pack launches with us in-store and online Friday 11th August.

Mono silhouettes are an easy go to for anyone due to their sheer ability to go with pretty much everything ever. You would think that adidas would have blessed us with the modern classic R1_PK silhouette in a full mono rendition by now, but until now we have seen white or grey detailing paired with a black/white out upper.

Finally for the end of the summer season we get the adidas Originals NMD R1 PK Japan Pack, a true tonal silhouette that is an essential for any sneaker heads rotation. Not only do we get one of our favourite silhouettes in one of the most essential colourways ever conjured up but we see the 'Japan' detailing that adidas Originals have flirted with previously with the NMD collection.

Opinions on whether the all-white or blacked-out colourway of the adidas Originals NMD R1 PK Japan Pack reigns supreme is pretty much split from everyone we've talked to, the black offers a more dirt-friendly option that you can be a little more care free with. For us though it's the all-white that takes the win, just make sure you cop that Jason Markk kit first!
