New Balance

New Balance Athletic Shoe Inc. was originally founded in 1906 as the New Balance Arch Support Company by William J. Riley, a 33 year old British emigrant.
William Riley had been inspired whilst observing chickens walking and believed he could improve the working lives of human beings that spent their days on their feet.
William Riley developed the first New Balance product, a flexible arch support, designed with three support points to provide greater balance and comfort in the shoe.
New Balance released their first running shoe in 1938, then in 1960 they designed and manufactured the New Balance Trackster which was the world's first running shoe available in different widths.
Unlike competitive brands New Balance maintains a manufacturing presence in the United States for it's domestic customers, as well as in England for the European market.
The quality of New Balance footwear is unsurpassed.
