The Polar X Converse Jack Purcell collection is available with us now.

Its been a while since the previous collaboration from Pontus Alv's Polar Skate Co. and Converse Cons, but boy was it worth the wait.

The two brands have solidified their on-going partnership with the Polar X Converse Jack Purcell Collection. The Jack Purcell silhouette was originally created by the world class badminton player to provide protection and support on the courts, Converse began producing the sneakers in the 70's and created one of the most underrated sneakers of all time.

The Chuck Taylor has long been adopted for skateboarding since its inception and has been at the forefront of Converse marketing since forever however the lesser known Jack Purcell silhouette offers something just a little bit different from the Chuck Taylor, we don't know what it is exactly that we like so much but we do know that we love this style a whole lot.

The Polar X Converse Jack Purcell Collection takes the classic sneaker and adds a couple of skate-friendly updates such as the tough suede upper, OrthoLite Sockliner and a Zoom Air heel unit. Of course theres Pontus' understated approach to design all over this collaboration with tonal Polar branding and a super simple rear Happy Sad heel tab.

Two new Nike Air Max 97 colourways launch with us tomorrow Thursday 3rd August.

The silhouette is rapidly becoming everyones new favourite sneaker, now for summer we see Nike bless us with two super easy to wear options...

First up we have the Nike Air Max 97 kitted out in a very autumnal colourway dubbed 'Cobblestone' and to be fair to Nike it is very reminiscent of the landscapes used in that Hovis advert ages ago. As always we have the full length visible Nike Air cushioning unit which is executed in White offering a clean base for the layered upper which is comprised of leather, suede and mesh. The sneaker is finished with tonal stitching throughout and a Nike branded suede tongue patch.

Next up we have Probably the most easy to wear Nike Air Max 97 colour option we've seen in a minute, this silhouette features a multitude of tonal material panelling from leather and mesh to suede and is polished of nicely with tonal stitching. Sitting in contrast to the blacked out upper is a wonderfully clean white midsole and outsole which we reckon works perfectly with the visible air cushioning unit.

The Nike SB Zoom Dunk High Elite launches with us in-store and online tomorrow Wednesday 2nd August.

Since the inception of Nike SB the classic Dunk silhouette has served as the foundation on which the brand has built upon. As skateboarding has progressed we have seen the dunk take on various forms due to less demand for a bulky padded shoe and an increase in desire for something slimmer and more snug.

As summer draws to a close we see the latest rendition of this cult favourite archival style with the inroduction of the Nike SB Zoom Dunk High Elite silhouette. Upgraded with function in mind we see the return of the ankle-hugging flyknit cuff that Nike SB have flirted with before which offers an unrivalled balance of protection and comfort.

The Nike SB Zoom Dunk High Elite pairs the Flyknit cuff with a larger Nike Zoom heel unit, providing superior cushioning for hard landings and is even lower to the ground for a better boardfeel. The silhouette takes on aesthetic elements utilised on the lower Dunk Elite silhouette boasting bonded panelling, resulting in a skate shoe that looks super slim but still offers the durability of the classic Dunk.

The Nike SB Zoom Dunk High Elite in University Red/College Navy-White launches with us online tomorrow at 8am and in-store from 9am.

The Reebok Alien Stomper 'Final Battle' pack launches with us tonight at midnight.

When Alien hit the film screens it took the world by storm, it had a little something for everyone. The most notable character from the franchise is of course Ellen Ripley played by Sigourney Weaver in one of if not her most recognisable roles ever, and no doubt one of the best female leads in cinematic history.

The next instalment in the franchise took seven years to come to fruition, but it was worth the wait. Aliens holds a solid 8.4 on IMDB and is a rare example of a sequel coming close to the original, The Godfather 2 gets an honourable mention here and we don't care if you dis-agree. But back to what we're all here for, in Aliens Ellen Ripley sports a rather good pair of Reeboks dubbed the Reebok Alien Stomper.

The Alien franchise has grown to such heights that there is now an official 'Alien Day', this year we saw Reebok and the Alien franchise announce a very special release of the mid-top silhouette called the Reebok Alien Stomper 'Final Battle' pack. As you guessed the pack means you get 2 pairs, one very hazardous yellow and black colourway alongside a very shiny alien like blackout pair. Both colourways take inspiration from the films, from the on board graphics, characters, sets and general aesthetics of the films.

The reebok Alien Stomper 'Final Battle' pack comes in a fancy printed drawer which sits on a butterfly hinge allowing you to store both pairs very neatly in the appropriately decorated outer box which even features some toxic alien slime marks. If you are a fan of the films then this is most definitely one for you...

The Yardsale Skateboards Summer '17 collection is available with us now.

It seemed like an eternity since the last drop from london based skateboard company Yardsale hit the shop however the boys have made it worth the wait.

We see the biggest offering from the fledging young company to date with a slew of soft goods adorning classic lofi nostalgic graphics.

The quality on the newest Yardsale Skateboards drop is up there with the best, super soft cotton is paired with some of the best cuts we've seen in a minute. All the outerwear is cut and sew to the highest standard with inspiration being drawn from a bunch of different places - the ever present 90's sportswear still reigns supreme however we see some 50's styled polo's in three colours alongside some interesting pant offerings from the 'classic slacks'.

We're stoked to see Yardsale Skateboards continue their affection for velour which features on the 'Tracksuit Jacket', a full zip top with a contrast panel running through the centre. The top is executed in two colour options, a super clean white and green sits next to the black and ruby boasting contrast Yardsale Skateboards embroidery on the left breast.

If your feeling particularly patriotic then we recommend the 'Common Wealth' sweatshirt, it's kind of like those tourist sweatshirts you see but way better. The 'Panel' sweatshirt also gets a notable mention due to being a prime example of Yardsale nostalgia, the piece wouldn't be a miss in an 80's sears catalogue (in a good way)...

adidas NMD summer colourways launch with us July 13th.

The NMD phenomenon isn't showing and signs of slowing down and the brand with the three stripes have come through with 7 new adidas NMD styles for the summer to keep our sneaker cravings at bay.

We often get a lot of girls hit us up about smaller sizing on the adidas NMD so we've got both the male and female sizing of the super clean Footwear White/Footwear White/ Core Black colourway of the NMD_R2 which features a vibrant hit of red on the instep details. We also have the Wonder Pink colourway of the NMD_R2 PK releasing alongside the other styles so there's really no excuse not to cop some of the most comfortable contemporary sneakers for you and the missus.

Finishing off the collection of NMD_R2 PK styles is the super easy to wear Core Black/Core Black/Footwear White colourway offering a monochrome camo-esque knit upper paired with black detailing on the adidas NMD 3-stripe side branding, lacing cage, out sole and collar. We reckon this is the one if you're looking for a sneaker to wear frequently, unless you make a habit of wearing full monochrome camo outfits...

Alongside the NMD_R2 PK silhouette we see the cult classic NMD_CS2 release in a trio of trippy camo knit uppers, the stand out adidas NMD style from this drop is most definitely the 'Future Harvest' colourway - it's a bit of a marmite situation in-store, you guys either love a red sneaker or hate it, regardless though we're backing it.

For those minimal heads out there the CS2_PK sees two monochrome renditions in both male and female sizing. The two uppers are marginally different with a slightly enlarged pattern on the women's style which are paired with two different coloured details on the instep, the men's style boasting 'Future Harvest' whilst the women's features 'Wonder Pink' detailing respectively.

The Kappa Kontrol Summer '17 collection is available with us in-store and online now.

with the lines between streetwear, sportswear and high fashion becoming increasingly blurred we've seen a slew of OG brands re-enter the market. Kappa have arguably done this better than anyone with their Kappa Kontrol line, fusing archival design with contemporary cuts and premium fabrications.

For Summer '17 we see an extremely diverse offering from the Italian luxury sportwear masters with heritage inspired USA pieces alongside more traditional tracksuits, shorts and a knitted polo.

Drawing from their original collection for the USA olympic team in 1984 we see vests, tees, jackets and pants dipped in USA colours and branding paired with classic Kappa styling with logo taping down the side seams. The collection boasts some lovely stand out bits including the 'Banda Jacket' which features detachable sleeves with a zip fastening. Probably the wildest thing we've had in the store in a minute is the 'LA.84 Silver Track Jacket' which is constructed with a super shiny reflective shell that our staff went a little crazy for.

For those of you wanting something a little more low-key the 'TO.80' pieces have got you covered, executed in a much more subtle monochrome colour palette with some hits of gold Kappa branding to finish the pieces whilst the 'Authentic stripes' styles offer options for those of you looking for an all over print in a more accessible day-to-day style.

The North Skate Mag Summer '17 collection is available with us now.

Founded by Graham Tait North Skate Mag has stood the test of time by consistently maintaining the values and integrity of the photographic medium. Technology seemed to reign supreme throughout the naughties however for alot of people including us the move towards non tangible mp3 and mp4 formats and online mags left us with a cold feeling, we're quite fond of having dvd's, vinyl records and lots and lots of photo albums.

Graham at North was with us on that one and created a skateboarding publication that presented images only shot on film, it's quite hard to pin point just what it is about film photography that conjures such a strong connection with us. I think it's probably the alignment of the format and skateboarding, seeing skate pictures that are super crispy and perfect just gets a bit boring after a while, we like seeing the sprocket holes on film scans, we like seeing the grain on some pushed black and white film and we like the vivid colours certain film stock produces.

It's safe to say North Skate Mag is one of our favourite publications, if you haven't read an issue before we couldn't recommend it enough. I mean it's free so you really have no excuse...

The Surf is Dead Stranger Waves Summer '17 collection is available with us in-store now.

Hailing from Los Angeles the fledging brand build on the underground surf culture of Los Angeles, we see the Surf is Dead Stranger Waves collection "dive deeper into a lurid reflection of an enclave self obsessed with expressing an unenlightened and quietus need to exist."

This is the first time we've had the brand in-store and were all stoked to have their graphic offerings available, the Surf is Dead Stranger Waves collection utilises a playful palette of summery colours juxtaposed against some much grittier graphics - the kind of gear you can get away with wearing because your mum likes the pretty colours and doesn't realise she bought you a shirt with a half naked babe on it, you know?

Most of the brands direction comes from this balance of light and dark, with most of the lo-fi styled graphics featuring some kind of macabre influence. It's refreshing to see such a young brand maintain the balance of playful tongue-in-cheek graphics with diverse colour options, a nice break from the monochrome tee offerings that are dominating at the moment.

New Hockey Skateboards soft-goods and hardware is available with us now.

In-store favourites from the get go, it seems theres no stopping the FA/Hockey camp lately. Hockey has a much darker direction graphically than its sister FA brand, and it's something we all love here at the store. We got a healthy delivery of new boards for all of you that have been asking, and if you've yet to skate one then you're slacking - best shapes, best graphics, best wood, Hockey Skateboards have best everything.

If you haven't seen any of the Hockey Skateboards video offerings yet then hop on youtube because they will make you want to go out and buy everything you can afford from the young brand, the team is no joke. Donovan, John, Ben and Andrew are the realest of the real, pure skateboarding and aggression. Alongside the decks we have a bunch of new gear in-store which should be making its way online soon, new tees, caps and long-sleeves boasting the usual Hockey Skateboards graphic chaos.
