Kappa Kontroll

Kappa Kontroll is a label named after the Kappa brands origins where a faulty batch of socks erupted in the production of what is now Kappa Kontrol. In 1956 Maglificio Calzificio Torinese (MCT) distributed a faulty batch of socks by mistake, for the first time in 40 years the companys name for quality was in jeopardy. Following this mistake, all subsequent boxes were printed with a ‘K’ and the caption “Kontroll” as a way of assuring the quality of the product, the people loved it and “the socks with the K” were an instant success thus the brand being born.
