The Levi’s X Nike SB August drop has arrived, and this collaborative collection includes Levi's X Nike SB 511 Skateboarding Jeans in a stretch & moisture wicking 'dri-fit' denim, available in Rigid Indigo, Rigid Black & a Kato finish.
The fit is the same as the Levi's X Nike SB 511 Skateboarding Team Edition Jean released last month, and the denim has still been developed with and produced by Cone Mills using a 'WATER LESS' ecological manufacturing process, but by moving the manufacturing to Cone Mills Mexican plant and weaving the denim without Vectran, Levi's have been able to reduce the retail price considerably.
This drop also sees the addition of a Levi's X Nike SB Trucker Jacket (or Type III Jacket), produced in the same Cone Mills stretch & moisture wicking 'dri-fit' denim and available in both Rigid Indigo & a Sioux finish.
To wrap things up there's a limited edition in store only quickstrike Nike SB X Levi's Dunk Low Premium in black denim, with a varsity red embroidered Nike text logo on the heel moustache of the left shoe & a varsity red embroidered Levi's Batwing logo on the heel moustache of the right shoe.
With the US BMX team set to come out wearing Levi's jeans & Nike SB shoes later today this release is an Olypmic celebration from two major US brands, and with industry rumours of a full Levi's Skateboarding collection on the not too distant horizon these collectable collaboration pieces give us some insight into future releases.
