adidas Originals X Palace Skateboards

The newest adidas Originals X Palace Skateboards collection launches tonight at midnight.

We see the most recent instalment from the two influential brands continuing on from the hugely successful previous collaborations.

After flirting with other sportswear main-stays such as Umbro and Reebok London skateboard power-house Palace Skateboards seem to have found their collaborative sportswear home with adidas Originals continuing the joint collection into the Summer season.

Its nice to see the collections taking on a theme, previously opting for a largely fleece dominated effort whilst now we see a holiday ready towelling fabrication adorn the archival influenced silhouettes.

The fine Navy coloured towelling is seen on the Towel Hat, Gymsack which features some cleanly executed tonal embroidery, the Towel Jacket that is truly Tony Soprano worthy and of course no towelling collection would be complete without, well, a towel...

The collection as a whole consists of a mix of Blue tones with White accents to add some contrast to the pieces and the recurring towelling fabrication makes an appearance on the 3-stripe branding. It truly wouldn't be an adidas Originals X Palace Skateboards collection without the inclusion of a full Black tracksuit just for good measure.

If you're not spending the summer in a tropic location then don't worry, adidas Originals and Palace have you covered with a hooded shell jacket that will keep you dry during the ever-approaching drizzly British Summer, which just happens to have the classic over-sized Palace Tri-Ferg graphic emblazoned on the back - at least you will look on trend when you're standing under a tree in the park staring at your increasingly water-filled Barbecue.

Rounding of the collection is two new colourways in the ever-popular Palace Pro silhouette, the easy to wear style that is perfect for the warmer season with multiple perforations and a comfy removable PU sock liner. The uppers are executed in pig suede which all the skate heads will be pleased to hear alongside a skate friendly vulcanized sole unit, the translucent gum sole is a nice touch on the Black/Orange colourway too.

The adidas Originals X Palace Skateboards collection launches online tonight at midnight and in-store from 9am tomorrow.
