  • Nike SB x Ben & Jerry’s Dunk Low Pro ‘Chunky Dunky’

Nike SB x Ben & Jerry’s Dunk Low Pro ‘Chunky Dunky’ is releasing on Saturday 23rd May 2020 via Instagram raffle.

2020 has been an exciting year for Nike SB Dunks, and the latest collaboration for Nike SB is with Vermont's very own grassroots ice cream company, Ben & Jerry's. Built from a five-dollar course on how to make ice cream, Ben & Jerry's have created a company which not only gives away free scoops on their birthday, but champions great causes. The Ben & Jerry's Foundation was established in 1985, and since then have been tackling climate change, boosting fair trade and standing for a number of social causes. Alike to Nike SB their core values are having fun whilst doing good.

Nike's skateboarding division has always worked on collaborations using the Dunk's classic skate shoe silhouette, allowing their partner brands and friends to use the shoe as a blank canvas to create their own designs that encompass who they are. To represent their own euphoric style, Ben & Jerry's have taken directly from their own slogan “If it’s not fun why do it?” and drawn inspiration from the Chunky Monkey ice cream packaging to create the 'Chunky Dunky'.  The blue skies, rolling scenery and cow print encapsulates a pint of ice-cream you would want on a sunny day hanging out with the hippy Vermont ice cream makers.

The Dunks lagoon pulse leather upper and perforated toe box are overlayed with faux cow, and wrapped in a drippy university golden swoosh. A black heel moustache, with an embroidered Nike in the classic Ben & Jerry's font, sits over a sky blue panel with stitched clouds. From behind, you get a glimpse of all materials, textures, embroidery and patterns.

The shoe is complimented with white lacing, a faux cow tongue, and boasts a woven label that has Nike SB branding and 'Chunky Dunky' embroidery. On the reverse, it details Ben & Jerry’s branding and their slogan "If it’s not fun why do it?". With a padded collar, the inside is covered in rainbow tie-dye, nodding to Ben & Jerry's hippy roots.  The 'Chunky Dunky' has a full-length EVA white midsole, a Nike Zoom Air unit in the heel and a green rubber outsole, with a pivot circle for multi-directional traction and durability.

  • Carhartt Work in Progress

Shop Carhartt WIP with us online now.

Carhartt Work in Progress clothing can be worn with any outfit and it’s a go-to for high quality, durable items. Carhartt WIP has managed to find the perfect medium between their classic workwear and streetwear. They bring through timeless garments that skateboarders, musicians, and artists alike have been wearing for decades. In 1994, growing as a counterpart of Carhartt, Carhartt WIP began selling carefully adapted and modified silhouettes in Europe.

Carhartt was first established in 1889 by Hamilton Carhartt, the brand quickly grew from his initial garment designs after asking railroad workers what they wanted from their clothes. Using those ideas to form the templates, Carhartt began making overalls constructed from heavyweight denim and the now-iconic duck canvas. The brand has always been dedicated to providing durable garments that are high quality and can withstand a full day of work.

By the late 1970s and 80s Carhartt began to grow in popularity outside the traditional customer. Hip-Hop embraced the oversized fits of Carhartt, and the brand could be seen on many artists in New York. The 90s saw Carhartt spread to the west coast. Because of its ties to music, it is a firm cult favourite and Wu-Tang Clan, Tupac, and Kanye have all been seen wearing Carhartt over the years.

As interest in the Carhartt brand spread, Work in Progress (WIP) was established in 1994, by Edwin Faeh to become the exclusive distributor of Carhartt in Europe. Carhartt WIP created a collection of streetwear that remained true to Carhartt's iconic workwear DNA. The adapted styling proved popular in Europe with the skating community picking up the brand due to its reasonable price, and hard-wearing durability that could live through slams on rough concrete. In 1997 Carhartt WIP created a skate team that solidified their relationship to the skateboarding scene.  2011 saw Carhartt WIP opening a store in New York City, coming full circle with its American origins.

With ties to most skate, art, fashion, and music subcultures, Carhartt WIP has collaborated with the likes of Nike, Converse, Polar Skate Co., Motown, and A.P.C. to create and experiment with Clothing and Footwear, each collaboration offering a unique perspective on the brand. Alongside this, they work closely with NTS radio and Arts Council England every year to create the NTS Work in Progress. This yearly artist development scheme aims to support eight musicians from all backgrounds and genres to give them a step up in their career. Carhartt and NTS collaborate and hold musical events all year round.

In recent collections we have seen vibrant colours, patterns, new fabrications, and contemporary fits on workwear inspired garments. The most recent collection showcases the Southfield Jacket in navy 100% cotton seersucker, giving a lightweight modern adaptation to a style we would usually see in Duck Canvas.

The Carhartt WIP Pocket Crew Neck Sweatshirt is designed in a heavyweight, soft loopback cotton jersey. Featuring a left side pocket with a woven Carhartt patch logo, this boxy fit Sweatshirt is designed to last.

'Chase' heralds the design ethos Carhartt WIP champions. Constructed of durable cotton jersey, simple designs make them timeless items to own. Each garment features the classic embroidered Chase logo, an understated design that is instantly recognisable. The collection covers all the basics, T-Shirts, sweats, socks and even swim trunks.

Alongside their impeccable clothes, Carhartt WIP is known for producing lifestyle products and gadgets, from furniture, to coffee machines and even a camera. The smaller gadgets all share fun and practical elements, keep in contact with your friends with the Protect and Survive Walkie Talkie Set or get about safely with the Carhartt x Palomar bike lights.

Consortium has continued to stock Carhartt WIP since opening 27 years ago. They are key players in skate, art, and music subcultures making them a go-to brand for durable clothes and contemporary styles that stand the test of time.

  • Stussy

Shop Stussy online with us now.

Shawn Stussy started branding surfboards with his infamous Stussy script in the late 70s. By the 80s, after applying it to T-Shirts, it had earned him cult acclaim. Stussy, surrounded by his Californian roots of surfing, skateboarding, hip-hop, punk, and graffiti, managed to bring together all of these influences to create a brand that has earned the title as the king of graphic T-Shirts.

As the brand grew, Shawn went on to find like-minded individuals, creatives, musicians and establish the International Stussy Tribe. With chapters in London, Tokyo, and New York, the groups included people like the Clash’s Mick Jones, Bones Brigade skateboarders and Goldie. All of whom were given the infamous tribe jackets, emblazoned with their name, chapter, and Stussy Logo. It’s these renowned taste-makers that helped position Stussy at the top of its game. Stussy has completed a whole host of collaborations over the years, creating Footwear with Nike and joining forces with Dior.

The iconic Stussy graffiti scribble animates everything it touches, whether printed or embroidered. The stock logo, once drawn on the bottom of surfboards, has found its home on garments for over 30 years.

The T-Shirt provides a great medium for artwork and expression, and the legacy of the Stussy T-Shirt still holds true today with the original iconic graphics still printed and carried-through onto today's garments. These graphics were inspired by the years when counter-culture was an obligation, identity represented through the clothes you wore, Stussy itself had become its own uniform. As Shawn Stussy put it: "hitting an oddball, eclectic group of people", and bringing these people together in their tribes and chapters through endlessly wearable, universal clothing, Stussy continues this testament today.

Working with Pigment dyes, Stussy produces individually dyed garments that produce a one of a kind result. It uses much less water than regular dying and creates a unique look with a lived-in appeal that we can’t get enough of.

Step up your wardrobe repertoire with an embroidered Stussy Stock Logo Sweatshirt, the heavy cotton jersey, and mixed material stitching adds a further premium element to their pigment dyed garments.

Maintaining our skate and streetwear roots Consortium continually stock Stussy as they constantly create premium items in a collection of colour-ways and patterns that hit the target every time. Stussy maintain their regular and boxy cuts, keeping to the functional and nonchalant streetwear style we love. A brand that has held onto quality, added detail with dynamic pigment dyes and high calibre of fabric, it’s a go-to for distinctive, casual, everyday wear.
