Adidas Skateboarding
Way back in 1927 Adi Dassler had a dream to make the best sports shoes possible. Adi hired two shoe makers and what are now recognised as the first pairs of Adidas shoes were made by hand in Adi's mothers washroom with no electricity or machinery.
In the following years and as the business developed Adi followed three guiding principals - To produce the best shoe to serve the needs of the sport, to protect the athlete from injury, and to make the product durable.
Adidas has come a long way since then and now employs around 40,000 people and makes huge annual profits. However the Adidas ethos hasn't changed and they still make sport specific, supportive & protective, durable shoes. With over eighty years experience in producing sport specific footwear, a creative and diverse skateboard team (who give their input and share their needs), and a back catalogue of shoes like no other it's no wonder that Adidas are producing truly excellent skateboarding shoes.
