The Fucking Awesome Skateboards Winter '17 delivery of apparel and hardware is available in-store and online now.
Jason Dill's Fucking Awesome Skateboards imprint has grown from a side project to one of the most important new brands in skateboarding today. The graphics alone have a distinct and instantly recognisable aesthetic, riddled with abstract references and crude compositions - Dill is no self proclaimed artist though, “I don’t know much about anything, but I just know how to take things apart and put them back together until it fits or looks right".
Starting a skateboard company in an oversaturated market place can be tricky, but if theres anyone with a true original voice today is has to be Dill. Despite the incredible team and constant bombardment of quality product the man himself is still reserved about his position in a recent interview with 032c, “I never wanted my own company. A skateboard company. The government is still taking half of my paycheck because I fucked up my taxes for so long. I can’t even take care of myself, or my own company of myself. I thought having your own company would be nothing but a pain in the ass. And guess what? I was right. It’s constantly a pain in the ass. I’ll be out for dinner with my old lady, and I’ll be trying to concentrate on what she’s saying, but at the back of my mind I’m thinking: ‘Oh my god, how many of that did we make? Is it going to sell?’ All these little fucking catastrophes in your brain, and you hang out with anyone, and they just think you’re a weirdo. I’m not complaining about it. It is what it is".
With the endless list of companies out there it often becomes overwhelming trying to choose which ones you want to support, whatever you choose, Fucking Awesome Skateboards should be up there at the top of the list...
