    UK Exclusive Cons CTS Mid

Converse have just released a premium UK exclusive Cons CTS Mid skate shoe in a Dark Navy/Angora colourway designed by Cons UK head honcho Neil Chester.

This mid top Cons CTS shoe takes it's styling from the infamous Converse Chuck Taylor All Star but is constructed in a durable dark navy suede and has the added comfort of a soft memory foam collar & tongue.

The colourway is understated and so is the branding with a black on dark navy suede Cons All Star tongue label, angora (off white) & black Converse Chuck Taylor All Star heritage leather ankle patch, and an internal Cons Union Jack Lobster woven tongue label.

  • Converse All Star

    Converse All Star

The Converse All Star was developed in 1917 by the Converse Rubber Corporation who saw the need for a mass produced basketball shoe when looking to diversify from their existing seasonal galoshes business.

The Converse All Star was embrased by Charles H. Taylor, a basketball player for the Akron Firestones, who liked the All Star shoe so much that in 1921 he joined Converse as a sales rep.

Charles "Chuck" Taylor went on to play for and coach the 'Converse All-Stars' industrial league basketball team, travel all across the United States hosting basketball clinics and promoting the All Star shoe, and initiate marketing strategies like the Converse Basketball Yearbooks.

In 1932 Converse added Chuck Taylor's name to the All Star ankle patch in recognition of Chuck's design input & dedication to the shoe.

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star has been worn by many, in fact it is said that 60% of US citizens own or have owned at least one pair of All Stars.

The All Star became the official athletic shoe of the United States Armed Forces during World War II when GI's exercised in white high tops.

The Chuck Taylor All Star is a timeless design classic which remains unchanged since 1949.

The All Star is a shoe for athletes and artists, the shoe of the counter culture, rock & roll, fashionistas, rebels, and visionaries.
