adidas Originals X SPEZIAL New York SPZL release tomorrow - Wednesday 3rd December 2015.
In 2014 Gary Aspden (the man behind the excellent SPEZIAL line) took a group of die hard adidas enthusiasts to Argentina in search of a fabled 34 year old store that was rumoured to have floor to ceiling vintage/deadstock adidas products.
The trip was documented in 'Sole Searching in South America', a now renowned documentary that introduced the world to store owner Carlos Ruiz.
Aspden and his band of loyal adidas supporters spent 2 days looking through every box to uncover long forgotten adidas silhouettes and managed to convince Carlos to part ways with some of the vast collection - which Aspden used as references for silhouettes in his SPEZIAL line.
Spezial New York - Sole Searching in South America Part 2
A year and a half later the adidas team return to the Buenos Aeries based store to celebrate Carlos' commitment to both the brand and generosity in his emporium of vintage styles with an honourary SPEZIAL New York SPZL colourway in an Argentine blue.
The adidas Originals X SPEZIAL New York SPZL will release in it's OG and Carlos-inspired colourways online at 00:00:01 hours.
