  • Jenkem Mix 108: Dustin Dollin

From skateboarding pioneer Mark Gonzales, humble skateboard brand Carpet Company to Bad Brains bassist Darryl Jenifer, the Jenkem Mix invites someone whose integral voice, “life and work speaks to skateboarding’s independent ethos while transcending it” - giving us insight into what music inspires them, influential tracks of their youth, or perhaps how they were feeling at that particular time. You can expect a wide variety of music from a wide variety of guests on these, all authentic personalities, all legends in their own right.

The most recent Jenkem Mix summoned Dustin Dollin to share his tracks, included within are: Tom Waites, Kate Bush, Frank Zappa, Nick Cave and David Bowie to name a few...

"Before we received this tracklist from Dustin Dollin I thought I knew all there is to know about him. We’ve all watched him for the past 25 years while he’s been drinking, slamming, and dropping parts, so I assumed we were just going to get banged over the head with some dive bar classics."

While there are some divey staples here and there, there are also some unexpected oddities in the middle, like a parody song that samples a bizarre Gordon Ramsay news segment, and a 19-minute Isaac Hayes track with a 9-minute spoken-word intro. But that’s why we all love Dustin, because even after a quarter-century in the game, he can still surprise (or troll) us all.

If you don’t want to think too deeply about the picks, feel free to just listen to this mix the Dustin would’ve wanted you to – on shuffle, slightly drunk with some good friends."

  • Grey x Nike SB Doggie video by Will Miles

This week see's the Grey x Nike SB clip release entitled 'Doggie'

Considering the clip comes in at a relatively short length of just over 4 and a half minutes there is a barrage of hammers packed in there.

The Grey x Nike SB video is filmed by Will Miles and features the UK Nike SB team killing a slew of farmiliar crusty spots.

The man taking MVP is Kyron Davis. After falling off the radar a while back he's been smashing it lately coming off the back of his #nolongerawasteman section and standing out in Doggie with a mix of authentic style and natural finesse.

Kyron is by no means the only killer in the clip as we see Charlie Birch, Casper Brooker, Joe Gavin, Korahn Gayle, Chris Jones, Jak Pietryga, Mark Stern, Dan West and Kyle Wilson stacking clips alongside many others.

Watch the Grey x Nike SB video 'Doggie' below then head over to Grey for more of the best curated skateboarding videos on the web.

  • North Skate Mag - SIGN

Graham Tait's excellent analog format based skateboard magazine North Skate Mag has been one of our favourite publications for a while now.

With consistantly some of the best photo curation and interesting interviews North always fly's out the shop as soon as we get it, and following on from their superb range of soft goods we recieved last month the mag has just released a new edit called "SIGN".

The monochrome video clocks in at just over 3 minutes and is a perfect watch for a monday morning, the footage was "often filmed in freezing conditions over January, February and March" and anyone who resides in our country knows the struggles of even leaving the house let alone stacking clips in the winter season.

The edit features Chris Coleman, Daniel Nicholas, George Horler, Jonny Paterson and Jordan Coleman killing it despite the horrible time of year, watch the rad North Skate Mag edit below:
