OBEY clothing has spawned from the art, design and concepts of Shepard Fairey. From a simple sticker Shepard created in 1989 the brand and concept has grown into a vast back catalogue of clothing, artwork and campaigns we see across the world today. Growing up in an era of punk rock and skateboarding Shepard Fairey and OBEY is fuelled by pop culture, commercial marketing and political messaging with his own take on their messages, usually using reverse phycology and sarcasm to educate the viewer of the true goal of this propaganda. Now producing four collections a year, OBEY clothing reflects everything that is Shepard Fairey’s art and concepts.
