Carhartt Work In Progress (Carhartt WIP) was established in 1994 by Edwin Faeh to become the exclusive distributor of Carhartt in Europe. Hamilton Carhartt founded the Carhartt company in 1889 from the heart of industrial Detroit. The first products produced were made of Denim and Duck (commonly known as canvas) which later turned into their trademark fabric. Now Carhartt WIPs reach spreads from its humble beginnings in workwear to the music, street and skate culture of Europe, with collaborations with brands such as A.P.C., Polar Skate Co, Slam Jam and NTS Radio.
