Woolrich
For over 180 years Woolwich has been producing quality outdoor clothing. An english immigrant, John Rich opened a mill in Plum Run, Pennsylvania, he would visit lumber camps in the area and sell his wears from the back of a mule cart. Woolrich over the years have produced everything from the popular buffalo check wool shirt to wool bathing suits, Woolrich was also contracted by the government to outfit Admiral Byrd's expedition to Antarctica in 1939, 1940, and 1941. Now based in the village of Woolrich, the company still keep to its roots, producing heritage styled wool jackets to technologically advanced winter parkas and always with the ethos to create quality and purposeful products to fit the outdoor lifestyle.
