Universal Works
Universal Works was born in late 2008 as the brain child of David Keyte. Keyte's experience working for brands such as Paul Smith and Maharishi can be seen in his tailoring techniques and material choices across Universal Works. His back ground working in mines in the midlands sculpted the brands identity with modern takes on heritage workwear pieces creating the brand we see today. Universal works ethos strongly revolves around creating honest clothing from British heritage ideas, creating something wearable, affordable and sustainable. It’s not about creating trends but breaking them and creating something honest and accessible to reflect the owner. Universal Works ideas stem from a blue-collar background but one that lives well and dresses well.
