Oakley

Oakley is without doubt the world leader in sports eyewear, however the company sprung to it's optical success from humble beginnings within the BMX and motocross communities.
The original Oakley product was a set of motorcycle grips, initially produced in a residential garage and sold from the back of a car at motocross events.
Within a few years Oakley had expanded with a full line of bike components and accessories, and in 1980 Oakley launched the O-Frame which became a hugely popular motocross goggle.
From there sunglasses were a natural progression, first came the Oakley Factory Pilot (which were goggle styled sunglasses ideal for the bike community) and then the highly coveted Oakley Frogskins.
