Nike Basketball

In 1972, Nike released their first basketball sneakers, the now iconic Bruin and Blazer. Nike continued to progress and innovate with the basketball line remaining at the forefront of the industry due to several masterminded creations. In 1982 Nike introduced the classic Air Force 1 silhouette, the “Original Six” to wear the AF1 were Moses Malone, Michael Cooper, Bobby Jones, Calvin Natt, Mychal Thompson, and Jamal Wilkes. 1985 gave rise to the Air Jordan line, marketed by the legendary Michael Jordan which would become an un-stoppable force solidifying its status as one of the greatest sneakers in the world. Nike continue to uphold the innovation that has become such an essential part of the brands DNA with the introduction of their Fly-wire technology and one of the key new releases, the Hyperdunk.
