Edwin

Edwin was established in Japan by K.K. Tsunemi. In 1947 Tsunemi was importing dirty worn out denim jeans mending and cleaning them by hand before selling them on to his customers. Then in 1961 the first made-in-Japan denim jeans were available, they were stiff, expensive and easily shrunk. Tsunemi was driven to make better denim and took the chance to start his own brand creating the name EDWIN by reordering the letters in DENIM and turning the M upside down. Today Edwin are world renowned for making the highest quality denim jeans and pioneering new fabrics, washes and techniques.
