with the lines between streetwear, sportswear and high fashion becoming increasingly blurred we've seen a slew of OG brands re-enter the market. Kappa have arguably done this better than anyone with their Kappa Kontrol line, fusing archival design with contemporary cuts and premium fabrications.
For Summer '17 we see an extremely diverse offering from the Italian luxury sportwear masters with heritage inspired USA pieces alongside more traditional tracksuits, shorts and a knitted polo.
Drawing from their original collection for the USA olympic team in 1984 we see vests, tees, jackets and pants dipped in USA colours and branding paired with classic Kappa styling with logo taping down the side seams. The collection boasts some lovely stand out bits including the 'Banda Jacket' which features detachable sleeves with a zip fastening. Probably the wildest thing we've had in the store in a minute is the 'LA.84 Silver Track Jacket' which is constructed with a super shiny reflective shell that our staff went a little crazy for.
For those of you wanting something a little more low-key the 'TO.80' pieces have got you covered, executed in a much more subtle monochrome colour palette with some hits of gold Kappa branding to finish the pieces whilst the 'Authentic stripes' styles offer options for those of you looking for an all over print in a more accessible day-to-day style.
