  • Nike SB x Air Jordan 1

Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 'Air Evolved'

Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 QuickStrike skate shoes release worldwide on Saturday 15th March 2014.

This highly anticipated (and long overdue) Nike SB x Jordan collaboration release pays homage to the Air Jordan 1 which was adopted by a generation of skateboarders back in the 1980s and played an integral role in the development of skateboard specific footwear.

Bones Brigade The Search For Animal Chin

The Nike Air Jordan 1 featured heavily in Powell-Peralta's iconic 1987 'The Search For Animal Chin' release with Steve Caballero, Mike McGill and Lance Mountain all skating in the original Air Jordan 1 which had been provided by Nike to replace the Bones Brigade members' own worn out shoes.

The Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 QuickStrike hybrid skate shoe will be available in super limited numbers from www.consortium.co.uk at 00:01 hours and our Bournemouth skate store at 09:00 hours on Saturday 15th March 2014.

  • Adidas EQT Running Support OG Re-Release

The Adidas EQT Running Support will be re-released on 1st February 2014 in it's original 1993 colourway.

The Adidas Equipment Running Support shoe is the first of a handful of Adidas Equipment styles that are due to drop over the next few months.

The Adidas Equipment line was a huge success when first launched in the early 90s.

With Equipment Adidas overhauled their brand identity with bold new logos & designs whilst staying true to the company values that Adi Dassler laid down when he first started out producing sporting equipment that enabled athletes to excel in their chosen field.

Twenty years on Adidas Equipment silhouettes have earned cult status and we eagerly await the forthcoming Adidas Equipment re-issues.

  • Adidas Stan Smith

The infamous Adidas Stan Smith vintage tennis shoe sees it's re-release today, 15th January 2014.

This renowned Adidas style was Adidas's first tennis shoe, was the first ever leather tennis shoe, and was originally the signature shoe of another player - Robert Haillet.

In 1963 Horst Dassler (son of Adidas's founder Adolf 'Adi' Dassler) came up with the concept for the first Adidas tennis shoe - it was to carry a simple silhouette, be constructed with a leather upper, featuring minimal ventilated three stripe branding, and be built on a pimpled rubber outsole.

In 1965 the shoe was endorsed by French professional tennis player Robert Haillet and was marketed as the Adidas Robert Haillet.

A couple of years later Robert Haillet retired from his tennis career and Adidas turned to Stan Smith in a bid to continue with their success of the shoe.

Stan Smith, a California born professional tennis player had won the US Open in 1970, Wimbledon in 1971, and was accredited as the world's number one mens tennis player in 1972.

Stan Smith was keen to pick up the gauntlet and in 1973 a royalties agreement was put into place for Stan Smith to take over the endorsement of the style.

For some years following however Haillet's name remained on the shoe's tongue above a sketched portrait of Stan Smith, it was finally replaced by Stan Smith's own name in 1978.

The 2012 Adidas Stan Smith re-release has been produced in premium materials, is offered in three slightly different classic colourways, and is only available through a limited number of Adidas Statement accounts including Consortium.

Adidas Stan Smith (Neo White/Neo White/Fairway)

Adidas Stan Smith (Neo White/Neo White/Collegiate Red)
