  • Consortium Presents - 'Away Days' Film Premiere

Consortium is proud to announce that we will be having a premiere for 'Away Days' - The newest feature length film from adidas Skateboarding.

After finding out that adidas Skateboarding were creating another full-length film everyone at the shop has been wanting to host a premiere, and we are very stoked to be able to invite you all along to come join us.

The premiere will be taking place at The Winchester on Saturday 21st May and doors will open at 19:30 PM with free entry. There will be a large projector, adidas giveaways, our two favourite DJ's and of course a load of booze thrown in for good measure (although you will need ID to purchase drinks at the bar)

Incase this is the first time you are hearing about 'Away Days' give the trailer below a watch to catch up on what adidas Skateboarding have in store for us.

What is clear from watching both the trailer and Thrasher hosted 'Far and Away' episodes is that despite being one of the largest footwear companies in the world adidas Skateboarding manages to create a real family vibe amongst its team, which is rare considering the sheer breadth of the roster.

What is especially exciting about 'Away days' is the mix of older OG's and new team members that weren't around for the much loved previous adidas Skateboarding offering 'Diagonal'. We see the likes of long-time adidas residents the Gonz, Silas Baxter-Neal, Dennis Busenitz and Nestor Judkins have clips next to Tyshawn Jones, Na-kel Smith and Miles Silvas which is sure to result in a film as equally praised if not more so than its predecessor.

As we mentioned before you should probably watch these 'Far and Away' episodes that break down the stories behind the guys in the video, you truly do get the feeling that riding for adidas Skateboarding is much more than just some free shoes and a pay cheque - The team really create good vibes when skating together and we're sure this will come across in the film which has been captured by none other than lens masters Torsten Frank, Chris Mulhern and Justin Albert.

The Consortium Premiere of 'Away Days' - adidas Skateboarding's newest feature length film will be on Saturday the 21st of May 2016 at The Winchester located at 39 Poole Hill, Bournemouth BH2 5PW, doors will open at 7:30 and our favourite DJ's will be playing after the video has finished until 11PM.

  • Nike Air Presto Flyknit Ultra

Today we see the Nike Air Presto Flyknit Ultra release alongside two colourways of its lower sister silhouette the Nike Air Presto.

You have to hand it to Nike when it comes to innovation, where many often criticize large sneaker brands for simply re-releasing old silhouettes for the sake of having new product its clear that if Nike are bringing back an old style its for a reason.

The Nike Air Presto has been an in-store favourite since we first saw it take place on our shelves in number 8 earlier this year, some were simply intrigued by its avant-guard aesthetic however one thing was coherent with everyone and that was the sheer comfort and superior fit of the silhouette.

    Nike Air Presto Flyknit Ultra

After a diversely mixed release of OG and new colourways of the ever popular style we now see Nike do what they do best and take things further with the introduction of the Nike Air Presto Flyknit Ultra .

    Nike Air Presto Flyknit Ultra

No-one can argue that the Nike Air Presto Flyknit Ultra is simply extended and updated with Flyknit and Ultra technology as anyone who has seen the Air Presto in person will attest to the intracity of the seemingly simplistic construction, the silhouette is definitely one of Nike's more experimental styles and where it would have been easy to over-complicate the update of the shoe Nike execute it to perfection.

We see the Nike Air Presto Flyknit Ultra introduced in a Racer Blue & White colourway with a Racer blue flyknit upper sitting alongside tonal detailing from the semi-translucent moulded lacing cage, tongue patch, laces and toe-bumper.

    Nike Air Presto Flyknit Ultra

The signature shaped midsole is carried out in a clean contrast white whilst we see hits of racer blue in the moulded side Swoosh and Ultra tooling which offers improved durablilty to the outsole.

Alongside the introduction of the Nike Air Presto Flyknit Ultra we also see two very vibrant and summer appropriate renditions of the original silhouette, one Rio Teal, White & Black and a Comet Red, Black & White colourway.

    Nike Air Presto Flyknit Ultra

    Nike Air Presto Flyknit Ultra

Both are executed using the style of previous colourways with the upper being dominated by one colour and the rest of its counter parts laying in a contrast white, however the latter sees the zingy Comet Red carried onto the midsole and outsole.

The Nike Air Presto Flyknit Ultra and Nike Air Presto silhouettes are available in-store and number 8 and online now.

    Our Legacy SPLASH collection

"Tourist wear such as souvenir style tees, psychedelic prints and breezy linen garments are seen next to shiny white silks, a bonded scuba track suit and faded, pale camouflage fabrics; a sun bleached luxury furlough. Imagine toxic looking dyes and military garments in innocent pinks, created to achieve the feeling of someone getting struck by a tropic fever, twisting their mind."
