Adidas Japan Pack 2

The Adidas Japan Pack 2 will be available both in-store and online from 30th April 2013.

Following on from the success of the first Adidas Japan Pack, which featured three classic Adidas silhouettes updated by Tokyo store MITA and produced in premium materials with a keen eye on original details, Adidas now introduce the second Japan Pack which is (like the first Japan pack) only available through a very tight network of Adidas retail partners.

Adidas x X-LARGE Superstar 80s Giraffe (Wheat/Black 1/Chalk 2)

This Adidas x X-LARGE Japan collaboration Superstar 80s is featured in a black premium suede upper with giraffe print pony skin detailing.

X-LARGE need no introduction and Adidas Japan have shared a very long and successful working relationship with the X-LARGE Japanese division.

Adidas x ZOZOTOWN Campus 80s ZOZO (Marine/Running White FTW/Chalk 2)

This Adidas x ZOZOTOWN collaboration Campus 80s is in a marine pigskin suede upper, with a pony skin instep panel, pony skin & faux snakeskin Adidas signature side stripes, and a pony skin heel moustache.

ZOZOTOWN are a key online retailer in Japan, they have asperations to create a virtual shopping mall and then invite selected retailers to set up shop in a virtual retail space within their mall.

Adidas x United Arrows ZX 500 OG UA (Running White FTW/Forest/Gum 4)

United Arrows offer the ZX 500, a running shoe originally added to the Adidas line in 1984 and re-issued within the Adidas Consortium collection in 2012. The collaboration colourway features a running white lightweight woven nylon upper, with a running white mesh toe box & suede overlay panels, and forest pleather Adidas signature side stripes & heel moustache.

United Arrows are a key Japanese fashion retailer and have a close working relationship with Adidas.

Penfield x Consortium Collaboration Kasson Jacket

A limited edition Consortium update of the Penfield Kasson hooded mountain parka will be released tomorrow – Saturday 27th October 2012, available in very limited numbers exclusively from the Consortium store in Bournemouth and www.consortium.co.uk.

This Penfield x Consortium collaboration (offered in a choice of four classic colourways) takes Penfield’s infamous Kasson hooded mountain parka and adds a medium pile sherpa fleece lining through the body and hood, and quilted sleeve lining with insulating wadding.

An idea conceived by Consortium’s founder Nat Rendell and developed in conjunction with Manesh Mistry and Ben Allnutt of the Penfield design team.

The collaboration transforms the Penfield Kasson jacket from a lightweight water resistant favourite into a well priced technical & insulated winter coat.

The photo shoot below was taken by Dan Lilley, a customer and friend of Consortium. Dan studied commercial photography at AUCB Bournemouth, graduating in 2012 and winning the AUCB school of media award.

The photos feature Bournemouth skateboards Nicky Porter, Jamie Platt, Sebastian Braun & James Yorke-Saville in our seaside surroundings and at various local spots.

Nike SB Koston X Heritage

Today Nike released the Nike SB Koston X Heritage hybrid shoe with a nod to Eric Koston’s favourite sneaker silhouette, the iconic Nike Air Max 90.

The Nike SB Koston X Heritage retains all the technical features of the Nike Skateboarding Eric Koston 1 and simply adds infamous Nike Air Max 90 detailing.

The first release Black/Anthracite-Atomic Green colourway features a Black TPU reinforced suede upper, with a black neoprene collar, a mottled anthracite fused (and tweaked) Swoosh, an antracite & atomic green embossed Eric Koston tongue label, atomic green & black Nike SB Air Max 90 rubber heel label, atomic green Eric Koston Air Max 90 rubber side label, and all over Nike Air Max 90 stitch detail.

Next up is a Metallic Silver/Medium Grey-Sunburst-Black (or Infrared) colourway which is due drop in the next few weeks.

Adidas Campus 80s Kzk Inspired Pack

The Adidas Campus 80s Kzk Inspired Pack drops on 7th September 2012.

This Adidas Campus 80s Kzk Inspired Pack is a strong follow on from the Kazuki Kuraishi designed Adidas Superstar 80s CLOT, released back in July earlier this year.

The Kazuki Kuraishi inspired Adidas Campus 80s pack takes direct inspiration from Kazuki’s sneaker treatments of previous seasons, and Kazuki’s DNA is clear to see in his use of snake skin heel tabs, woven taping, and rich pigskin suede uppers.

Available in a choice of three colourways – Black 1/Black 1/Legacy, Craft Gold F12/Craft Gold F12/Legacy & Lab Green/Lab Green/Legacy.

Throughout the 1980s, the Adidas Campus reigned supreme on the courts, in the streets and at the skate park. September 2012 welcomes a Kazuki inspired premium three colour pack update of this infamous classic sneaker.

Levi’s X Nike SB August Drop

The Levi’s X Nike SB August drop has arrived, and this collaborative collection includes Levi’s X Nike SB 511 Skateboarding Jeans in a stretch & moisture wicking ‘dri-fit’ denim, available in Rigid Indigo, Rigid Black & a Kato finish.

The fit is the same as the Levi’s X Nike SB 511 Skateboarding Team Edition Jean released last month, and the denim has still been developed with and produced by Cone Mills using a ‘WATER LESS’ ecological manufacturing process, but by moving the manufacturing to Cone Mills Mexican plant and weaving the denim without Vectran, Levi’s have been able to reduce the retail price considerably.

This drop also sees the addition of a Levi’s X Nike SB Trucker Jacket (or Type III Jacket), produced in the same Cone Mills stretch & moisture wicking ‘dri-fit’ denim and available in both Rigid Indigo & a Sioux finish.

To wrap things up there’s a limited edition in store only quickstrike Nike SB X Levi’s Dunk Low Premium in black denim, with a varsity red embroidered Nike text logo on the heel moustache of the left shoe & a varsity red embroidered Levi’s Batwing logo on the heel moustache of the right shoe.

With the US BMX team set to come out wearing Levi’s jeans & Nike SB shoes later today this release is an Olypmic celebration from two major US brands, and with industry rumours of a full Levi’s Skateboarding collection on the not too distant horizon these collectable collaboration pieces give us some insight into future releases.

Levi’s and Nike SB launched their collaboration 511 Team Edition Jean & Omar Salazar LR pro shoe with an invite only party held at the top floor of what appeared to be a derelict building on July 4th in Berlin.

With a mini ramp, djs, gourmet barbeque, free beer & many high profile pro skaters in attendance this was a launch party that will be remembered for years to come.

The Levi’s X Nike SB 511 Team Edition Jean is made of a two way stretch, moisture wicking ‘dri-fit’, super strong ‘Vectran’ denim developed with and produced by Cone Mills at their White Oak plant in the USA specifically for this collaboration, using a ‘WATER LESS’ ecological manufacturing process.

Just 2000 pairs of Levi’s X Nike SB collaboration 511 Team Edition Jeans have been released across both Rigid Indigo & an Apache wash through ‘the world’s best skate shops’.

Collaboration details include a black & tiffany Levi Strauss & Co. X Nike Swoosh back leather label, a dual brand copper top front button, tiffany & black Nike SB wood grain internal front pocket bags, tiffany stitch selvage-esque internal outseam edge detail, Nike Skateboarding mounting hardware rivet on the fob pocket, and an iconic Levi’s red tab on the back right pocket.

The Nike SB X Levi’s collaboration Omar Salazar LR is in a black suede upper with a black pleather Swoosh. The shoes feature a red embroidered Levi’s Batwing logo at the heel and the removable Lunarlon innersoles have Nike SB black woodgrain patterned footbeds with red Levi’s Batwing / Nike Swoosh logos.
