A limited edition Consortium update of the Penfield Kasson hooded mountain parka will be released tomorrow – Saturday 27th October 2012, available in very limited numbers exclusively from the Consortium store in Bournemouth and www.consortium.co.uk.
This Penfield x Consortium collaboration (offered in a choice of four classic colourways) takes Penfield’s infamous Kasson hooded mountain parka and adds a medium pile sherpa fleece lining through the body and hood, and quilted sleeve lining with insulating wadding.
An idea conceived by Consortium’s founder Nat Rendell and developed in conjunction with Manesh Mistry and Ben Allnutt of the Penfield design team.
The collaboration transforms the Penfield Kasson jacket from a lightweight water resistant favourite into a well priced technical & insulated winter coat.
The photo shoot below was taken by Dan Lilley, a customer and friend of Consortium. Dan studied commercial photography at AUCB Bournemouth, graduating in 2012 and winning the AUCB school of media award.
The photos feature Bournemouth skateboards Nicky Porter, Jamie Platt, Sebastian Braun & James Yorke-Saville in our seaside surroundings and at various local spots.

We are now offering the Nike SB Eric Koston 1 signature model skate shoe on a pre-order for delivery on the shoe’s Global Release date of 4th June 2011.
There are three colourways available -
Here’s the official Nike press release -
A 20-year career, a dozen signature shoe models, and numerous legendary video parts have established Eric Koston as the gold standard in skateboarding. He has pushed not only the progression of modern street skating, but skate footwear design as well. Nike Skateboarding continues that tradition and is proud to announce the global release of the Nike SB Eric Koston, Eric’s first signature shoe with Nike, on June 4th, 2011.
Upon joining Nike SB in 2009, Eric had this to say about his involvement with the brand: “A lot of different Nike’s have been the inspiration for my shoe designs over the last 12 years, so I feel like a kid in a candy store when it comes to my partnership with Nike.”
Eric immediately began working with SB designers to update the Dunk Pro SB and also worked on our most innovative and lightest shoe to date, the Zoom FP. Taking insights from both these projects, Eric and Nike Skateboarding footwear designer Shawn Carboy began developing the Nike SB Eric Koston.
From the start, Eric wanted to marry a timeless cupsole silhouette with a lightweight insole featuring superior cushioning. From this, the Lunarlon sockliner/midsole was born. Lunar foam is a recent cushioning innovation in Nike performance footwear, but the Nike SB Eric Koston is the first shoe in the Nike Action family to incorporate the technology. Having a combo Lunarlon sockliner/midsole makes for a skate shoe that is lightweight with a soft yet responsive full-foot cushion, protecting your feet from impact but not dampening board feel.
The shoe also features TPU reinforced suede, stitchless lining construction to minimize toe blow-outs, a neoprene collar offering supreme comfort for the ankle, and Lo Ride construction that gives you vulc-like board feel with the stability of cupsole construction.
In addition to the three launch colors available on June 4th, a limited quantity of the Nike SB Eric Koston Premium (featuring an embossed suede with snake skin pattern inspired by the Kobe VI) will be available at SB dealers worldwide on July 1, 2011.
To kick off the shoe’s release we’ve created a tour video featuring Eric and his Nike SB teammates on the road while Eric was shooting ads for the Nike SB Eric Koston campaign. It features cameos from Nike athletes Kobe Bryant and Paul Casey and actor Michael Pena. The video and all three launch colorways of the Nike SB Eric Koston can be seen at:

Palace Skateboards was established in 2009 by Levent Tanju of the Palace Wayward Boys Choir and has fast established itself as the premium UK skateboard brand. With a skate team including Lucien Clarke, Charlie Young, Olly Todd, & Chewy Cannon alongside the artwork direction of Will Bankhead (of Mo’Wax fame) and Fergadellic (Silas & Tonite), this will come as no surprise to most.
Palace have just dropped a limited capsule collection of clothing before they launch a more comprehensive line for Spring and Palace have got it right again. Palace clothing production has been looked after by the same team that worked on Silas back in the day, and as with Palace skateboard graphics Palace t-shirt and sweatshirt graphics have been designed by two of London’s finest skate creatives.
We’re due to receive a couple more t-shirt designs over the next few days and are also carrying some secret limited edition pieces in store, so keep an eye on the site for new additions and come into the store and check out the specials.
